Visa points time frame

I have enough points for a free cruise Caribbean cruise for two. I've already booked the cruise and I am about to redeem my points. How long before the credit shows up on my statement? Is it immediate, few weeks, months?

My reward points usually show up on the statement that follows the month the charges were made.

Depends on your departure date, they tend to do those that are closer to final payment or departing first. We did ours about 6 months out and they took about 45 days and me calling a few times. I had overpaid my portion of the cruise and knew once they applied the free cruise we would be getting money back and I wanted it for the extra expenses we have in December. You might want to call and let them know your using it as well, they will note the price so as the sailing date get closer and prices lower you won't get hit with the lower price. Ours was based off of the price of a CV and they reduced the $2,500 max (assuming 125k pts) because the CV was offereing a Colorado Discount. :mad:

I feel stupid asking this, but is there just a certain card that you earn cruise "points" with? I'm lost but I cruise enough and spend enough money that I want in on this LOL.
