Car Service in NY

I have a quick question for those NY experts.

 

We arrive in NY on board the Emerald Princess Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Currently we are booked in at the Edison Hotel in Manhattan. From what I've been reading, our best bet would be to book car service instead of taking a cab.

 

Do any of you know where they would pick you up? Do they provide you a phone number to call once you disembark and go through customs (assuming you have to go through customs). I plan on contacting them but I thought I'd come here first to get first hand experience comments.

If you want to just wing it without advance reservations and call for a car service after you disembark, try Arecibo at 718-783-6465 . They're based in Brooklyn not far from the cruise pier, and should be able to get a car to you within a few minutes of your call.
