VB tour- how long did you stay with the monkeys?

When we went in December our Victor Borden guide recommended we go straight to the monkeys before all the other tourists . This worked out great because we were the only ones there for a good 45 minutes. My teens got to handle all the monkeys they wanted. My daughter gushed over the baby cage and found a little guy that curled up on her and never wanted to let go. Our monkey tour guide took group shots of our family and made sure we took as much video/pictures as we wanted, no rush whatsoever. Being the only ones there seemed to make it extra special. As we were washing up getting ready to leave, a couple of full vans arrived. A great start to our day in Roatan.

We were in the cage with the monkeys for about 10 minutes before one of them bit my 3 year old. We quickly got out (after one of the guides had to corner the monkey so it would stop trying to get to her).
