Mambo Beach

I saw pictures a friend had on her Facebook page from her stop on a cruise last year, but hope to hear from someone local as to how far from port it is, and if there is a fee to use the beach. I went to their website for information but it is in Dutch :confused:

There are restroom, a bar, and shops. They come around on the beach and take your order and bring it to you.

We go to Curacao in April for a week every year. Mambo Beach is actually closed, and I cant remember when it is scheduled to be reopened. They are doing a complete renovation. You can go to the Lion's Dive Resort right down the way and use their beach... there is a fee for that as well, but not sure how much. There is a bar/grill right there, and the Sea Aquarium is right across the way.

Mambo Beach will reopen sometime this month - no later than Aug. 29th as they have an event scheduled. According to their website, the opening has been delayed only by a week.

The re-opening will likely not be delayed too much as they are trying to coincide with the Jazz Festival which features Alicia Keys this year and should have quite a turnout.
