ShannonE Posted April 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2005 I just booked an inside guarantee on the Conquest on an online TA. I have asked the question here about the lowest category (4A or 1A) that an IS could be and was told that it was a 4A. However, when the picture of the room came up with my confirmation it showed a room with two beds that cannot fit together. Does booking a guarantee mean that I will definitely get a room that can be converted to a king size bed or is there a chance it will be two twin beds that won't be able to go together? Thanks for your help!
Blndiebby25 Posted April 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2005 The beds can be pushed together to make one bed. A guarantee means that is the lowest caterory you can be assigned, so there is a possibility that you could be upgraded.
ShannonE Posted April 30, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 30, 2005 Thank you for responding. I think I did a poor job framing my question. I know that I cannot be assigned something lower than what I booked, but I am not sure of what the lowest category included in an IS is--a 4A or an 1A. I thought it was a 4A, but the picture led me to believe it was a 1A. Sorry about the confusion...I was in a little bit of a panic about it when I posted originally!!:)
Cruising89143 Posted April 30, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2005 A category 4A is set up for the beds to be pushed together. I do not think that the category ones are that way. I would suggest that if you have questions that you contact your TA and get it straight so that you get what you want.

yogimax Posted May 1, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2005 I do believe category 1A is bunk beds. The 4A cabins can always have the beds pushed together, but Carnival pictures them apart
