Venice - 9:40 am flight out - prebook taxi?

We are staying at the Hilton which is on the island across from St Marks. Is the best way to get to the airport via water taxi? The hotel has a charge on site of 130 euros. If we prebook, can we get for 95-100. What is a reputable taxi service to contact PRIOR to me leaving US to have this scheduled?

 

In addition, any suggestions on time to leave hotel in order to have time to get on 9:40 a.m. international flight?

For a 9:40am flight you'll need to be at the airport around 7-7:15am. The water taxi is a 30 minute ride, then a 10 minute walk to the airport, so you need to leave your hotel by 6:30am.

We had a noon flight and got to the airport at 9:30am; it was a zoo and only had about 15 minutes to spare before they started boarding the plane.
