Travel To Be Free Posted May 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2012 We were here several years ago, but I don't recall the name. We wanted to go there for lunch, however, I want to make sure they are open. Just read most shops will be closed 1-4 so I may need to change plans, as we were going to Capri in the morning, Sorrento for lunch and a little shopping, then back to Naples. Travel To Be Free Posted May 6, 2012 Author #2 Share Posted May 6, 2012 I actually found the restaurant and have written to them. If we decide not to do Sorrento, are there any restaurants in Capri on a cliff overlooking the bay??

Ebbwboy Posted May 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2012 We ate many times at the Foreignors Club. Spectacular views over the bay from a large terrace. Food was reasonably priced but more international than typical Italian. It was open all day and if you only wanted a drink or snack that was fine. Travel To Be Free Posted May 7, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted May 7, 2012 The restaurant is Circolo dei Forestien. The food was good, but the views were great! We were going to do Capri and then to Sorrento for lunch and shopping. Now from other posts it looks like Sorrento closes 1-4, now thinking we may just do lunch in Capri. I sure hope I kind find one as beautiful. I hope you get a chance to try Circolo dei Forestien.
lisiamc Posted May 7, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 7, 2012 We have whiled away many an afernoon at Circolo dei Forestieri. They have a website here that shows their location, and what the views are like. The service is pretty indifferent, the food is ok, but the views are truly spectacular. Also, the prices are a fraction of what lunch in a Capri restaurant with a view would cost. Travel To Be Free Posted May 8, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted May 8, 2012 Lisiamc... Do you happen to know of any similar restaurant in Capri as we may not have enough time to do Sorrento. I'm wanting something close to the town area if at all possible.
