WIFI on Monarch

Leaving on the Monarch this friday! Taking my kids (from a previous marriage) on their first cruise, so we figured a short one would be a good ice breaker... the one small issue is that we are leaving the 2 year old behind with grandma... and momma (current wife) likes to Skype him when we are gone. We had WIFI in our cabin on the Freedom. I don't assume that Monarch has the same infrastructure. We were on it before and didn't recall seeing information on in cabin WIFI.

 

Is there WIFI on the ship? If so, what locations? Will Skype be possible?

No wifi in the cabins and at a few areas on the ship..

 

It was so slow I waited until the Bahamas and in the welcome center they have decent wifi. Look for all the nerds with laptops.

OK, so it's slow.. so that probably means no video skype... but is it fast enough for voice? Momma aint gonna wait two days to find out about her baby.. :)

McDonalds in Nassau has free WiFi. Don't know about Skype, but we have used Facetime there.
