Beach recommendations for Maui, Hilo, Kailua and Nawiliwili

Hi all....we are taking the POA at the end of June. On most of the Islands we booked excursions, but there seems to be time after (or before) to possible head to a beach. Any suggestions on beaches we can go to at these ports that are relatively close to where the POA docks??

If you look down the board, you will see this topic discussed frequently. On Maui, the nearest beach is a good walk away. Kona, a little closer, but still a walk.

Go to Kalapaki Beach in front of the Marriott in Kauai. It's an easy, level walk from the ship, maybe 10-15 minutes at the most. There will be surfers and paddle surfers for you to watch. Shops and restaurants are right there too.

This was our favorite during our 15 day cruise last December on the Carnival Spirit. Be sure to go check out the courtyard at the Marriott ... absolutely beautiful. Also stop in at Dukes for lunch on the beach or a drink or two. It was the perfect Hawaiin day and exactly what we were looking for.
