ladyluck27 Posted May 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2012 I've seen this mentioned, but I wasn't sure the details on how true/allowed it is. Our first stop is Key West. If we buy a pack of soda there, will we be allowed to bring it with us to our room when we get back on the ship?
Rare sparks1093 Posted May 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Maybe, maybe not, depending on how strict the person letting you back onboard wants to be. According to the FAQ you may only do this at the embarkation port, but I've seen many say they had no trouble doing this at subsequent ports. cruisinmimiof3 Posted May 9, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2012 On my cruise in Feb I brought on a 12 pack of soda in San Juan. As did 2 or 3 others in my group. No hassles, no problems.
ChefSusan Posted May 9, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2012 We've always brought back soda, juice, and water from ports, and have never gotten stopped. Just do it discreetly - don't be obvious!
breenw Posted May 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 9, 2012 We've never had a problem bringing sodas on board whether at the beginning of the cruise or from any port.
maldenmusic Posted May 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2012 As long as it wasn't open, we have had no problems with this.
Out to sea! Posted May 9, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2012 I've seen no problems with bringing soda/water on board at any port. Alcohol is a different story.
