Getting $$$ on board Riviera

Recommended Posts

I don't want to carry a lot of cash on our pre-cruise days and would like to wait until I am on board to get my "fun money" for the casino. Does th ship have ATM's and what is the charge, or is there a casino cashier?

Thanks for your help.

The Reception Desk will supply the cash and charge it to your shipboard account. There is a 5% charge i believe. Bear in mind that you can pay that account (and most usually do unless there is a big win in the casino - good luck!) with a CC so it is like taking a cash advance on your CC but and the 5% replaces the CC cash advance fee or 'instant interest'.

They supply (some) foreign currencies as well which can be convenient if you want a small amount of cash and not hunt for an inexpensive ATM nearby. Depending on your bank's ATM fees a small amount from the ship can be more reasonable than a per transaction fee from your bank.
