End of Season Cruise to Alaska

We are cruising to Alaska on Sept 18, 2005.

Do you think prices will be cheaper at the gift shops and jewellery stores in Ketchikan?

Do you think I can haggle an operator of a tour for a lower price?

Plenty of shopping sales, but never expect discounts on tours. Gone will be the glacier dog sledding and most likely Ketchikan bear tours, most every thing else will be running. These sailings use to be give aways, that's why I took them for my 2nd yearly trip. But no longer, be prepared for a wide range of weather and dusk by 7pm. See if you can request a wake up if northern Lights are out- or do internet searches every day for predictions.

Thanks for the comments Budget Queen. Still soooo expensive even going the last week! We have never had to fly to any cruise terminal before, we live in Florida, and not used to having to book flights all the way to Seattle.........but we are really excited!! We are renting a car in Skagway, and thinking about going the floatplane thing also.
