Excursions-dog sled/helicopter glacier ride

We are cruising in may - first cruise. 2 questions (for this post, anyway!)

 

1. Book excursions now or in port?

 

2. Which helicopter/dog sled tour did you do and like the most (i.e. Skagway or Juneau/which company, etc)

I strongly recommend you have all plans and reservations made BEFORE you leave, there will be no availability of flights in port.

 

There is only TEMSCO out of Skagway and Coastal, ERA and TEMSCO out of Juneau. Juneau glacier dog sledding is the most canceled Alaska excursion, Skagway slightly less, so always have back up plans. Choose where it fits your timeframe best.
