We were also upgraded for our 4/8 cruise but only from a BG balcony to a BA Lido balcony - boo hoo :(

Also, it looks like you are from the UK. I've seen here a number of Brits here on the boards indicate that those that book in the UK rarely get upgrades, so a double good for you!!

We are also on the 4/8 we booked guarantee and were given a BA but when I checked yesterday we had been moved very happy

Congrats to you. That is an awesome upgrade. Back in 2008 I was upgraded from a balcony to a mini suite. I loved it. However, it does make me look at minisuite prices on every cruise I'm going to book to see if I can justify the price to get the things I like in a mini over a balcony.
