World20 Posted June 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2012 In 2012, I see an itinerary to Iceland AND Greenland. I recall specials on this one, so maybe it was a slow seller. In 2013, I see an literary to the Artic Circle including Murmansk and Spitsbergen. Do these itineraries come up every other year? Wondering what will be available of either of these for 2014? Rare LHT28 Posted June 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Usually the Insignia did the Northern routes & Nautica did the Med but now that Insignia is moved on (hopefully she will return) I guess the Nautica is doing the northern routes I think Norway has become more popular in recent years but who know what the future will bring We did the cruise "Land of the Midnight Sun" in 2010 & I think there was one in 2011 There is one in 2013 but we will have to wait on the 2014 & see what TPTB decide;) Lyn
mountain grandma Posted June 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Just in case any of TPTB are perusing this thread, we also were disappointed that O didn't include Iceland and Greenland on their itineraries for 2013. So now we are waiting for 2014 to be revealed and, hopefully, we will find these two interesting places back on the schedule. FDR, is there a chance? rubysue Posted June 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2012 I'm absolutely thrilled that they brought back the Midnight Sun itinerary next year. We booked it immediately. Getting as far north as Svalbard (Spitzbergen) is on our bucket list. Iceland and Greenland are so interesting, too. I'm sure they will bring them back. Our city just got non-stop service to Reykjavik on Icelandair so we hope to book them next year and spend a couple of days in Iceland on our way to the Midnight Sun cruise.
