Vancouver or Whittier

I just checked the pricing on Princess one way cruises and it seems that it is about $100 p.p. to cruise vancouver to whittier vs. whittier to vancouver. Why is this? Is it merely because more travelers want to spend pre-cruise time in Denali?

Southbound is more popular for those on cruisetours at the hectic pace some can be, :) and want to relax at the end. Also a priority for the excellent last sailing day Vancouver Island which is done at night on the northbound. So supply and demand most likely. :)
