So we finally sat down last night and decided what we want to do.

 

Juneau

Taku Glacier Lodge, Flight and Feast

Medenhall Glacier River Float

 

Skagway

Ultimate Yukon and White Pass Railway

 

Ketchikan

Wilderness Exploration and Crab Fishing Adventure

 

 

After seeing this list, does anyone think that we are missing out on anything big? Are there any tours listed about that you think are a waste of time? Does anyone know any independant operators for any of the tours above?

Lucy your excursions are great for you if you picked them. My only suggestion would be a whale-watching tour. Thye offer these on the ships and also in Juneau Capt. Larry's is highly popular. There is alot of info on him in regards to whale watching. In Skagway done both, the excurison to the Yukon and the railroad. That is good that you combined the two. Mine were separate excursions on two different trips.

 

The main thing is if you are happy with your picks then go for it and have a great cruise.

The Mendenhall float trip is usually not recommended, since you float by people's backyards and not the glacier. That might be a good time to squeeze in some whale watching instead, or a trip to the visitor's center.

Of all the tours in Alaska I have taken- plenty, the Mendenhall River float trip is one I never recommend. Money and time is way better spent elsewhere. Superior reviews are of the lake canoe trip which you may want to consider instead?
