Nalagh Posted June 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2012 We are now gold Latitudes, so if I was not in a suite what would be the difference using just Gold Latitudes?
roger001 Posted June 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2012 The priority boarding refers to you being directed to the "Latitudes" check in line after you go through security. But so do all Latitudes guests, and that line is frequently as long or longer than normal check in line. This last cruise, last week, we were so early, we were near first in line, so we were ahead of everyone regardless of latitude status. However, the previous cruise, although we went through the usual Latitude line for check in, after check in, seating was arranged by latitude card color, with gold being up closer. When it's all said and done, when boarding begins, it moves so quickly it becomes pretty much a who cares. Reference the priority departure, gold will have a priority card in a latitudes packet in you room. I will contain yellow luggage tags. If you elect to use them, and not be one of the early self walk offs, after the walk offs are completed your yellow tag color will be the first called to then exit. Hope that makes sense. No....it is not the same as suite priorities though.

After our next trip we will have plat, is that the same as gold priority boarding? . :) We have never used the Latitudes line, so sorry for all the questions. Only true suites get the true boarding and exiting priority benefits, that is being escorted past the waiting masses. (And it is in my opinion a very deserved bennie considering the price differences they are paying for their cabins). We just turned plat. That does give you a few extra, and nice bennies, including laundry service, dinner for two at Le Bistro, chocolate covered strawberries, and something I've been meaning to do but haven't, a behind the scenes ship tour. Not biggies...but it all adds up to the cruise being even more wonderful.

We are considering an aft balcony with an aft ph but the kids are not suites and dh and I will be split on paper even though it is adjoining rooms. One of us would be suite and the other Latitudes with the kids. 2 suites are WAY over the budget! TY again!
