Fantasy dining rotation question

EASTERN Rotations on the Fantasy:

RAERAER (one)

AERAERA (two)

ERAERAE (three)

As with anything else, always subject to change!

I feel like an idiot. Eastern was already mentioned. I kept thinking to myself why haven't I asked and eastern rotation. Maybe because I didn't need too, lol. Thanks for being kind and repeating what was already there.

Another question, I did look this time lol, when is the semi formal night? I know formal night is the second night, but I can't figure out when semi formal is.

Also, this one is for the ladies, has anyone rented formal wear on the ship?

I answered your post and then was sure I had already posted both western and eastern rotations. Sure enough, they are on the first page - lol.

Formal night is your first sea day evening. Semi-formal night is your last sea day evening. Again, subject to change if DCL deems necessary. ;)

Ah nuts. I wanted rotation three because we would be in Royal Palace for formal night. Then that puts us in Animators Palate on semi-formal night. Or I could request rotation two and be in Enchanted Garden for formal night and Royal Palace for semi-formal night. Does anyone have suggestions on which they would pick?

You want to know what's really sad? We're booked on Dream for our anniversary next year and we're waiting on a bonus check to switch to Fantasy with the eastern itinerary due to needing a larger deposit. I'm already acting like our stateroom is secured and I don't have to worry about price increases, lol. Things you do for The Mouse.

We always just take the rotation that Disney wants to give us. We've done Pirate Night in AP, PC, Lumiere's. Likewise, we've been formal in PC, Tritons', AP.

We've enjoyed every theme night in whatever location we're in.

That depends on where you want to be on formal and semi-formal nights. Rotation #1 is the one I personally would definitely NOT choose on the EASTERN, because that means Animator's Palate (and the Crush show) on formal night. So for the EASTERN, I'd go with #2 to be at Enchanted Garden on formal night and Royal Court on semi-formal night. With #3, you'd have Royal Court on formal night but Animator's on semi-formal, and that would be the "animation show" evening, which is pretty hectic in the restaurant. Not for me!

Now on the WESTERN, rotation #3 is perfect because it means Royal Court (the fanciest of the rotation restaurants) on both those nights. :)

I'm glad to hear that and glad it worked out for you! :)

A 7-night cruise will always have Animator's twice (once for Crush show and once for Animation Magic show), but what you don't want is Animator's 3 times. This is why Western rotation #3 allows you Royal Court 3 times and puts you there (the most formal of the main dining rooms) on formal and semi-formal night.

BTW - I no longer work as a TA but am a College of Disney Knowledge trained Disney Specialist and my very first cruise was a very comprehensive Disney Cruise College onboard. I will do my 17th DCL cruise (Fantasy again) next May, so I try to stay on top of what's going on with them. ;)

Great thread. So, if I did happen to have the end up with the RAERAAE (rotation one), does this mean that the animation magic show would be on Pirate Night - day 5 - or would they do it on day 6? I ask because when I was on the Wonder, they did some Pirate Night themed stuff in the dining room on that night. So, it would make more sense (to me, at least) to do animation magic on day 6.

The shows in AP will be the first and second times you are in there. UNLESS it's a theme night (pirate, formal, etc). Then the show will be the next time you're there.

I'm still confused. If you have RAERAAE on the Western, won't you be in AP on both Formal (Day 2) and Pirate (Day 5)? Do you not get the Crush show with this rotation? -- Suzanne

OK, after asking around, this is what I got:

The first time you are in AP they do the Crush show. The second time is Pirates. And the third they do the Animation show. Regardless of formal/semi-formal.

That is correct when you are on a rotation that gets AP three times. When you have it twice - first night in AP is Crush and second (last) night in AP in the Animation show.

Thanks for all the info in this thread! DD, who is a WDW CM, and I will be on the Fantasy next month and I just requested the #3 Rotation. The Castaway Club CM tried to tell me the Eastern Rotation but she double-checked when I told her I had the correct info off of the the CC Board! :) Looking forward to formal night in Royal Court!!

Yes, unfortunately a lot of the shoreside DCL CMs know little about "details" and have to look up nearly everything. It's ALWAYS a good idea to ask them to double-check with their supervisor, and often to even ask the supervisor to double-check as well if the answer doesn't seem quite right! ;)

We have just come back from Eastern cruise on Fantasy, our tickets were already in the draw and we had AP on for Formal night we enjoyed it just as much and we all dressed up, but we dressed smartly for royal court and enchanted garden as well just not jacket and ties!!

Going on eastern fantasy 7 night. What is best rotation to ask for with royal on formal night? Also what night is prince and princess-what is that formal as well? First time cruising. Only night Paolo was available was night 6 after castaway key. What shows are which nights? Any tips to get good seats for shows?:)

We go November 16, 2013

Dining rotations or server requests/changes (on the Dream) can be make once on board ship. On the Dream, we go to the Royal Palace at 1:30 to make changes, ask for specific servers we know, and make reservations for Palo/Remy.
