pdmlynek Posted June 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2012 Sorry for a newbie question, but I can't seem to find this anywhere. It is my understanding that every morning the staff delivers into each cabin a brochure of several pages that outlines the days activities. Various posters on these boards call them Daily Program, or Daily Schedule, or Daily Buletin, or used similar terms ("Daily Program"). Some posters have posted copies of previous Daily Programs, or discussed them, e.g., http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1122317 , http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1574952 , and there are some websites that show sample of Daily Programs, such as http://www.cruise.co.uk/cruise-guides/Useful-Info-daily-planners/ Sample programs are fine, but I'd rather have the real thing. Where can I find the Daily Program? Can I get a complete set of Daily Programs for my cruise before we sail? Is there a website that lists today's Daily Programs for HAL ships? Rare Crew News Posted June 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2012 Since the daily programs contain timely information, such as: weather forecast, changes in daily events, and special announcements, a pre-cruise review of them probably won't happen. PathfinderEss Posted June 14, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2012 All your going to see is samples, being the daily programs are time sensitive.
PASSENGERES Posted June 14, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 14, 2012 Daily programs are delivered to the staterooms every evening for the next day's program.

Where can I find the Daily Program? Can I get a complete set of Daily Programs for my cruise before we sail? Is there a website that lists today's Daily Programs for HAL ships? Hi pdmlynek. I've only taken one recent HAL voyage, so I'm a newbie too. But, for what it's worth, the ships newsletter is called "Explorer". We usually found it in our mail slot around 6pm each evening, and it related to the following day's events. On our May 17 voyage on the Veendam, Explorer was four pages every day. I don't know what cruise you have booked, but if it's the Veendam cruise to Bermuda, I'd be happy to share any details contained in the Explorer for the voyage we were on. But, as others have mentioned, you can only find "the real thing" in your mail slot once on board. :) Cheers, Salacia
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 14, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 14, 2012 On Embarkation day you should receive your first daily Explorer program when you check-in at the pier -- this varies by ship. Some ships have them in the cabin when you get on the ship. After that -- depending on when you have dinner -- the Explorer will either be in your mail slot or on the bed each evening. Thus you can look it over that evening and plan what you want to do the next day. You can not get the daily programs before you cruise. Besides giving the weather outlook for the next day -- activities for cruises will change as well -- they are not ground in stone that every (for example) every Tuesday you will have the same activity at a certain time.
