mixology question

We are sailing on the Dream in 2 days and I have seen numerous posts about the martini mixing class that is usually given one time for the first 8 or so people that sign up. It was mentioned that they had it in the casino bar i think. Can anyone please share the details again so I can get in on this. Thanks

I could easily be wrong, but sounds to me like you are mixing up two different things.

 

The mixology contest, is any drink you want to name and make in a contest. People vote for their favorite.

 

The martini tasting is not a contest, you get to pick I think its 4 or 6 for a set price, very good deal, but not a contest. They have a menu of martinis you pick from. The martinis are about half size, not full sized glasses, maybe its around $14?

 

I have not seen a martini contest.

Matbe I misspoke. I remeber reading a review where somone signed up to learn just how to make all ofthe martinis the have on that list. You got to make them and sample all of them. It sounded great but I cant find the review that had that in it.

Might be something else but the martini tasting, they tell you what is in each one you can pick. It still looked good too. There were only about 6 at the tasting so it was easy to watch him make each one individually in front of you. If two wanted the same one, he just made a double though.

There was a review of a martini class or something. It was over 2-3 days and they were taught what was in it and had a hand in making them. Ten they got to pick their favorite for a full martini each day.

We did a mixology class but it was on the Liberty at the Alchemy bar. Was just like you described - they taught us how to make various drinks and then we got to sample them. Not sure which other ships they do this on.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the only ship that has the mixology class is the Liberty. It's all part of the 2.0 upgrade!
