quickfingers Posted May 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2005 My family is taking a helicopter/dogsled with Costal Helicopters from Juneau. We found the people at Costal, Lisa, very helpful. We thought we got a better deal from Costal than going through the cruise excursions. I know this doesn't help you with your question about Skagway. poolwife Posted May 9, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2005 Also, does anyone know about heli/dog sledding out of Seward? What happens if you can't get up due to weather in Juneau (fog, etc.)?
GlacierLady Posted May 9, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2005 Also, does anyone know about heli/dog sledding out of Seward? What happens if you can't get up due to weather in Juneau (fog, etc.)? Godwin Glacier in Seward does a great job. What did you want to know about it?If the weather is bad and it gets cancelled you will get a refund. poolwife Posted May 13, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 13, 2005 The one BIG thing my daughter who is 25 wants to do on our Alaska trip is to go dogsledding so I booked her in Juneau, but I hear that it has a high cancellation rate so I was wondering if the cancellation rate isn't as high in Seward. jstducky Posted May 13, 2005 #9 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Poolwife: What a nice mom you are. I wish my mom was willing to book my trip for me. I am 25, and when I decided to go to Alaska this year and I told my mom I wanted to do dog sledding she said, "do whatever you want. you're paying for it, so I don't care."
