azores and canary islands in oct

We didn't ourselves but table companions did in Ponta Delgada. Of the 6 who went half had to return with sea sickness urgently the other three were unlucky in that the only animal they saw was a sick sea turtle which they were able to assist.

As you know, whales keep to their own time schedules and seeing them is to be lucky indeed. Good luck. Bear in mind that it rains 180 days a year in the Azores so trips to the crater are hit or miss. Sadly we went to the top and saw only the mist!
