kywildcatfanone Posted June 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2012 Hi folks, Has anyone ever rented a car at Port Everglades to drive one way to another Florida city and drop off? I'm considering a couple of one way flights for our next cruise and the return leaves from Fort Myers, so I'm trying to see how easy it would be to have a car ready to pick up in Port Everglades and drive one way to Fort Myers and drop off. If anyone has an experiences and can help me out, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Mike
swigso Posted June 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2012 It is a pretty easy if boring drive, should take you about 4 hours
BrooklynDetroit Posted April 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2015 I see this post is old but if anyone is still interested me and my fiancee do this all the time - we fly into one airport in fl then spend a night or two in that city then drive to our cruise then after drive to another city for a night or two - this gives you a multi-trip experience in one - and some times even cheaper then a simple roundtrip - me and my fiancee live in NYC but thanks to this little method know the state of Florida as good if not better then our home state.
Scoobs9 Posted April 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2015 We fly into FLL all the time and drive to our home in Naples. From the airport, drive straight across 595 heading West (Alligator Alley) I make the trip across the Alley in about an hour at 85 mph. From there stay on 75 and head north about half an hour. Total driving time should be 2 hours or less, NOT 4 hours. Very easy drive. Enjoy!
