4 days Istanbul, then San Tourini Greece ??? HOW ???

My pal is dropping into Istanbul 7/16-7/20, Then going to San Tourini Greece.

 

She is doing this alone, as an experienced budget traveler.

 

Any ideas on where to stay in Istanbul, & then how to get to San Tourini Greece

The easiest way to go from IST to Santorini is to fly to Athens and then fly to Santorini. Check the schedules for Olympic Airlines and for Aegean Airlines. It is possible to time the flights so she only has a couple hours layover at the airport. Flying to Athens and then taking ferries is no cheaper since she has to get to the port and it would be a lot more time consuming.

 

Ferries all the way would be a lot more complicated. May have to get to Bodrum, ferry to Kos, and then one or more ferry connections to Santorini.
