We leave for Anchorage Tuesday - 6 nights land, driving to Talkeetna and Denali, train to Seward. Weather.com now shows rain all week for every town I enter. Can anybody up there give me any better local weather news?

Send up your prayers for sun for all of May. :)

I will be there the last 2 weeks of May, and I have a lot of cruise friends going various times in May. We all chose May because it is said to be the driest month in AK, even though nothing is guaranteed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and thinking positive thoughts.

Even though the weather channel says rain most of the time it is a shower or two. That is why always take an umbrella with you. Have a great cruise.

We went at the end of August last year and had a brief shower in Sitka while we were there. That was it for 14 days.

We did experience smoke at Fairbanks and Denali for two days. That was more irritating than rain.

Cheers

Here's a few URLs that deal with weather:

National weather service: http://weather.gov And

Weatherunderground: http://www.wunderground.com

I have most of the ads at weather.com blocked because of the ad sites being in my host file. All I'd see pretty much is a skull so weather.com doesn't do well on my computer. :)
