Hi Wendy,

We had two formal nights...night 2 Sunday Toulon and night 6 Thursday Naples.

The showed movies (MUTS) on the big screen poolside at various times during the day & evenings..check your current cruise compass once onboard for shows and times.

The only port we pre-arranged for a private tour (RomeIn Limo) was in Rome including the Vatican...While we are usually not a fan of ship offered excursions we booked the ships "DIY's" to Nice & Monte Carlo (guide on bus then on your own), Pompeii ( walking guide) & Sorrento (on your own), and Pisa & Florence (guide on bus then on your own)....This worked out great for us and the several hours we had in florence on our own was a highlight...The on bus guides were wonderful and gave us so much information & maps and a meeting place and time...NO problems this made it very easy and friendly on our budget !!! Sorry but beaches weren't of interest to us sightseeing easily with ship contracted transportation (due to the logistics) and on our own as much as possible was...Enjoy this amazing itinerary.

Hi Ashland....thank you for the information, it's very helpful.

We have never done European before, we usually travel further and do caribbean but budgets being what they are, we thought we'd try something different and nearer...any cruise is better than no cruise !

'thanks again
