What marine life have you seen from balcony

What have you seen from your balcony? (whales,sharks,turtle,sea monster,or refugees?)

I am a HUGE lover of sharks, whales and dolphins....however in a dozen cruises I have only seen flying fish :(

flying fish and dolphins are the most from my balcony. On a sailboat excursion, I've seen sea turtles, dolphins, and more sea life than I can list!

Lots of flying fish!! I watch out for them every single cruise and I love it. I actually saw a shark once and that was super cool. I saw a turtle in Belize and refugees once that we rescued during the deck party.

Flying fish, Dolphins, Stingray, a huge jelly fish (when still docked at Galveston) and a capsized boat off of Haiti on fire with 4 people in the Ocean. That was on the Glory and we participated in the rescue, but just about the time we got close enough to launch the rescue vessel, the USCG helicopter showed up and brought them all up in a basket.

When we were in Cozumel a huge sea turtle kept poking the ship. Maybe thought it was mama.

So far I've seen flying fish and dolphins from the ship, and I am hoping to see whales during our Alaskan cruise next year.

 

I've seen other sea life and various animals when out on excursions - my favorite of which was the monk seal (an endangered species) who was peacefully taking a nap on the beach in Hawaii.

Killer whales and humpback whales on my Alaska cruises. Note: There were a LOT more visible on my September sailing versus my May sailing. The weather was better in May, though.

Dolphins, flying fish, turtles, and a hammerhead shark. Also, on our Mexican Riviera cruise in 2009, the morning we woke up in Cabo, we went out to our balcony and there were lots rays jumping up out of the water and splashing down -- like a belly flop. It was the coolest thing; wish I'd taken video. Also on the same cruise we saw whales early in the morning on our last sea day on our way back to LA. That was a bonus -- it was July and we never expected to see them.

Humpback and Killer whales, otters, dolphins, turtles, flying fish, and some other fish I did not recognize (about 3-4 feet long, silvery gray color) on our E. Caribbean cruise in April.

On our Alaskan cruise, besides, whales, seals, etc which were wonderful!!! We enjoyed seeing these sparkling fish off our balcony in the evening. They seemed to glow...totally cool :D

This isn't marine life but on our cruise on the Legend in December we saw an idiot jump overboard while we were in Grand Cayman. Can't say that ya see that everyday

Only thing I saw was a dolphin and that's because I was swimming with it.

Best I've seen were whales in Maui and en route to the Canadian Maritimes.

 

Lots of flying fish, dolphins, and seaweed.
