dljones Posted June 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2012 Straws at every bar and restaurant... I would nab a few extra to take on excursion days...

Waterloomarc Posted June 29, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 29, 2012 Kudos. You're right I think this may have been, at least loosely, a new question. I also have never seen a straw in the MDR or buffet but yes you can definitely get them from the bar. Odd I've never noticed this since my wife always uses a straw while out at home. Turns out she might be right... Maybe I never notice anything :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Snoozeman Posted June 29, 2012 #9 Share Posted June 29, 2012 in 9 cruises never once did they have straws in the dining room You have to ask the bar server assigned to your table, NOT the waiters. That being said, I'd bring my own to the dining room just in case.
hevuk Posted June 29, 2012 #10 Share Posted June 29, 2012 They have any amount of them beside the drink dispensers on lido deck.Take a few back to your cabin and then bring them to dinner with you.

Quilting_Cruiser Posted June 29, 2012 #12 Share Posted June 29, 2012 And, start using Sensodyne....it really works! That goes only so far--at least for some of us. I don't use Sensodyne (can't stand the taste of it) but do use toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Still need a straw if there's ice in the glass. I would guess that if the OP's DW's teeth are as sensitive as he reports, a straw is just one of the measures she takes...
Not_Done_Living Posted June 29, 2012 #13 Share Posted June 29, 2012 I couldn't drink ANY drink with ice in it -- it would give me a hiccup fit! I just asked for no ice -- But I always found straws at the drink dispensers by the buffet/lido deck. Also, you should talk to your dentist about a sealer treatment !! I had it done and it worked wonders!
