nancycoop1 Posted July 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Does anyone know how long it takes to get back laundry sent to the ships laundry? Also, just pressing or dry cleaning? Thanks - we may need some things done quickly when we board.
flooded01 Posted July 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2012 I have been on a ship where it was 4 days and one where it was send in in the morning and have it the next evening. We have never used just pressing. We just use the iron in the laundry room.
bphman Posted July 1, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2012 We're doing a 12 day cruise and will be using laundry services for my shirts. The last time on Princess it was same day for a surcharge or next day for regular service. They do a very nice job albeit a little pricey. But, hey, it's vacation. paul929207 Posted July 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2012 I thinkthe normal is two days. You can pay extra for one day service
Pam in CA Posted July 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Depending on the box you check, if you put it out before 9am, it will be back that evening. You will pay 50% more for same day. Otherwise, the next afternoon. The only time I've ever experienced a delay is when the ship has been in protected waters. Even if I'm not out of my cabin by 9am, I put my laundry bag just outside my door. It's usually picked up within minutes. Or, I leave it on my bed before going to dinner and before the steward makes up the cabin for the night.
2little time Posted July 1, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 1, 2012 I have always had my laundry out in the AM and it is back late afternoon the next day. I have never had it take longer than that.

Shogun Posted July 1, 2012 #10 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Hi All T shirts will come back 4 to 6 inch shorter depending on make, appears cheap ones bought on holiday are fine its the expensive ones from back home that shrink, been told its because the water is to hot, apart from that excellant service, gave them light trousers with nasty oily mark picked up on tour, came back spotless yours Shogun
DonnasMom&Dad Posted July 1, 2012 #11 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Just be carefull things shrink. A much earlier post' date=' mentioned that the salt air around Princess ships made your clothes shrink, but a few days after you get home, everything stretches and is OK again. :D Cato ;) [u']Completed Cruises ! 1 HappyCruiser Posted July 1, 2012 #12 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Just be carefull things shrink. I've never had clothes shrink from sending them to the laundry. We've always had thing damaged or shrink with the laundry service so in the future we always use dry cleaning only no matter what the item. We haven't had a problem with it .....yet.
