Best airport for Galveston?

Can anyone tell us what would be the best airport to fly into for a cruise from Galveston?:confused:

William P. Hobby Airport is the closest. It is on the South-East side of Houston, seven miles from downtown, and just west of the Gulf Freeway (Hwy I-45). It is about 45 miles down I-45 to Galveston Island.

 

You will need to find your own transportation to the cruise port. There are numerous threads on this forum concerning the various ways.

Unfortunately there is no good answer for Galveston. :o A lot of it probably depends on where you are flying in from. Good luck!

If International traveller - Bush IAH 60 minutes away drive time

If domestic - Hobby best Alternative 30 minutes away drive time

 

Hobby will be international airport

With full customs and immigration in the future
