Hi all! We finally booked and ended up booking the Holiday Inn Port of Miami . We got 2 rooms booked so that Chris & Boo can join us also. We are coming in on Thursday the 13th though, and plan to fly out the day we port back into Miami. (4/22) We need that extra day to get settled back home before the kids go back to school, and we go back to work! So we will see you there!

Our youngest cruisers must be signed in at all times while attending Camp Carnival. Our experienced youth staff will give them top-notch care and supervision. However, parents will be given beepers so that if the need should arise, they can be contacted immediately.

 

 

Camp Carnival's age-appropriate activities are sure to delight all toddlers. From finger painting to cartoon time, arts and crafts to puppet shows, your little ones are sure to have a blast! We even provide babysitting services in the evenings, so Mom and Dad can get in some "quiet time," too.

Hey Carnival Triumph DOES Have Club O2 For the Teens!

Club O2 Teens (ages 15-17)

 

From the very moment they step onboard, Club O2 teens are part of a cruise experience unlike anything else. Every activity and event has been specially created with 15-17 year olds in mind. From outdoor activities like basketball, volleyball, ping pong, and pool parties to high energy dance parties lasting late into the night.

 

During the day activities are more relaxed, where teens can come and “hang” with their friends while watching a movie, listening to the latest music or just playing video games. Karaoke jam sessions are also popular for our rising stars and star wanna be’s. Even teen only shore excursions have been set up so teens can enjoy the sites and sounds of our beautiful ports with their piers.

 

All activities are coordinated by a Club O2 Director, a dedicated staff member that creates the “fun” for our 15-17 year old guests.

October 26, 2005Wilma Destroys, Damages Cozumel Cruise Piers(4:09 p.m.) -- Cozumel is currently closed to all cruise ship traffic, and at least one of the three piers on the island has been destroyed -- the Puerto Maya Pier was lost during Hurricane Wilma. Reuters describes Puerto Maya as having been "pulverized, massive chunks of concrete torn away and thrown onto the beach." The International Pier and Punta Langosta Pier have sustained damages and are being assessed, according to a representative for the port.

 

The fate of these piers affects nearly every major cruise line as Cozumel is a mainstay on Western Caribbean routes. However, Carnival Corp. (the parent company of Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Seabourn and Windstar, among others) is particularly affected as it has invested a good deal of time and money in creating shopping areas -- and the now-destroyed Puerto Maya pier -- in Cozumel.

 

Electricity is out on the island, and a timeframe has not yet been established for repair and recovery. However, a representative for Costa Maya tells us the port is prepared to accommodate additional cruise ships due to the closure of Cozumel for up to six months. Ships that may visit Costa Maya in lieu of Cozumel include Carnival's Carnival Valor, Sensation and Inspiration; Princess' Star Princess; Disney's Disney Magic; NCL's Norwegian Sun; and Holland America's Volendam, Veedam and Zuiderdam.

 

Costa Maya's pier and surrounding complex sustained no damage and continue to operate at 100 percent capacity; all shore excursions are up and running.
