kr9457 Posted July 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2012 What does this all include? Any food or snacks? I realize it is better to upgrade to the Tundra tour but that is not possible, so we just wanted to hear from someone who did this what it was like. mapleleaves Posted July 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2012 Yes, there are snacks/drinks. I haven't taken it, but there is information about the tour on the Denali NP web site, and the Park's reservation site: http://www.nps.gov/dena/planyourvisit/bus-tours.htm http://www.reservedenali.com/play/tours/denali-natural-history.aspx The History Tour goes to Mile 17. The Park has a free shuttle that goes to Mile 15, the Savage River shuttle. It's 2 hrs round trip or you can hop off and walk the Savage River trail. http://www.nps.gov/dena/planyourvisit/courtesy-shuttle-buses.htm You may not have time for the Tundra Wilderness Tour but do you have time for the Toklat shuttle? Check it out on the reservation page, under PLAY. Getting to Toklat would give you a better chance for wildlife viewing. Have a great trip, whatever you choose! Budget Queen Posted July 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2012 I would also suggest you might want to consider every option available to get INTO the park. What you are missing out on is significant.

Budget Queen Posted July 6, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2012 wondering why this is what Celebrity includes and only allows time for. Because you wanted/chose shorter time. I recommend people go for as LONG as they can afford and avoid all short cruisetours of less than 5 days- ideally you need to consider 7. People grossly underestimate distances and time necessary for activities.
