That is what they had about 18 months ago. Never saw anything different on any carnival ship.

Swipe type, but I wish they would use the combination type so we don't have to use credit card.

You don't have to use a credit card. Any old gift card with a magnetic stripe will do the trick. It's what we have been using for years.

You don't have to use a credit card. Any old gift card with a magnetic stripe will do the trick. It's what we have been using for years.

Yep, any card with a magnetic stripe on the back... although I've heard that old hotel key cards will not work. Not sure why.

 

We were on the Freedom in late April and they were the card-swipe type.
