French Fries

I was reading the favorite calories thread and saw a few people mention french fries. My first two cruises (Legend) the husband and I tore those UP. But on our last cruise (also Legend) they weren't the steak fries any more but were instead shoestring fries.

 

Was it a fluke? Or were we odd and people love the scrawny fries?

I've only been cruising since 2007, but I never remember steak fries, only thin "fast food" style fries. My DH prefers Steak fries if given a choice, but not me! Not Steak-n-Shake skinny, but what I've been served onboard are just fine with me!

I dont remember steak fries on any of my cruises either.. and I love fries, but on the ship, heated by a heat lamp .... Ill pass, not that good to me. Ill stick to the tortilla chips with cheese sauce

Think they only have thin at grill. I think that if i am going to eat fried food going to save the calories for the chicken fingers.

Been on 19 Carnival cruises... never steak fries. I do however wish they would bring back onion rings!!!!!!!!!!

Ya know.. I did have really really good steak fries .. the times I ate at the buffet for dinner.

Go upstairs to the fish-n-chips if you want good, fresh fries.

Steak fries are served during the evening buffets. I've seen them all the time and always have to grab some. The fast food shoestring fries are generally available most of the day at the grill.

Been on 19 Carnival cruises... never steak fries. I do however wish they would bring back onion rings!!!!!!!!!!

I've only seen onion rings in the MDR on the Prime Rib and at the dinner buffet combined with something else. If there isn't anyone in line, I will pick out a few of the rings.:)
