Taxi to Magens Bay via Mountain Top?

Neither of the ships tours that go to Magens Bay stop at Mountain Top. Would I be able to get a taxi to do this. I would like to spend an hour on Mountain Top (need time for the banana daquari;)). Also, does anyone know how early Mountain Top opens? Maybe it would be better to do it on the way back. Advice please.
