LisaL Posted July 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Going on the Liberty in a couple of weeks, I have read that you can bring 1 bottle per adult. What are the regulations? In your carry on, suitcase? Do you have to pay a surcharge? Thanks!
nwcruiselover Posted July 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2012 You can bring one 750 ml bottle per adult in your carry-on only. No surcharge except there's a corkage fee in the MDR. I think it's $10, and sometimes they don't even charge it. You can avoid that by opening the bottle in your cabin and taking it to the MDR already opened. If you pour your wine into glasses and bring glasses of wine to the DR you will not be charged corkage. If you bring a bottle of wine either open or unopened you might or might not be charged. Also, even if its a screw on cap, you may or may not be charged a corkage fee .. has nothing to do with the cork itself, just that you brought your bottle to the MDR.
