Elation - Luggage Drop off then lunch in NOLA?

We are sailing out of New Orleans and our flight arrives early so that we were thinking we would be at the port by 11. My question is can we drop our luggage off and then go to the French Quarter for lunch or do we have to proceed to the check in area?

Yes...you can start dropping luggage off about 10/10:30. Just make sure you are back in plenty of time to check in.
