Can you recommend a mutli-card memory card wallet?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a wallet (or something similarly lightweight) to hold/organize multiple SD memory cards in their little plastic covers. I thought this wouldn't be hard to find, but in my searches on line I'm only coming up with wallets that hold 4-6 cards (if that, and generally without their plastic covers). I typically take more cards than that when I am traveling, and am looking to use something more organized than the ziplock bag that I have employed to date. :)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I abandoned the fiddly little plastic cases a while ago when I found this type of case.

The cards are easy to organize, well protected and I keep track by putting empties label-side out and reversing them when they are full.

My 2¢...

The ones by Hakuba are my favorite. The one I like the best is actually the keychain one so it can be attached to the inside of a camera case (or anything so it does not get lost). You need to make sure you order the right size for your memory cards.

This one is my favorite. It only holds 4 SD cards but it is probably not a good idea to keep them all together. It is $7.99 and currently in stock.

This one would hold 8 cards, but not a key chain

I use a Think Tank Pixel Pocket Rocket (I luv those names). It is designed for CF cards, but it will perfectly hold a SD card in it's case. And it will hold up to 10 of them.

If you take the SD cards out of the case, each pocket will hold two of them side-by side, so you can get up to 20 cards in a single Pocket Rocket.

While it seems a bit expensive for them, you can get them free a lot of times when you buy one of their bags. I must have 3 or 4 extras around the house.

I use the cases as I like to keep the cards clean. And the cases hold the cards in position in the case without them flopping around. I put the cards in right side up if they have not been used, and upside down if I have used them.

I carry a lot of cards.

They also make an ORANGE version that will hold 9 SD cards, but not in their cases:

Thank you all for the information!

The Think Tank products are exactly what I'd been looking for. (No wonder "Pixel Pocket Rocket" didn't come up in any search for "memory card wallet," "storage," etc... What a name!)

I had actually seen a picture of the Pixel Pocket Rocket on a webinar, but without the Think Tank or product name. I thought it would be easy to find on line, but it wasn't, so I'm really happy to have this info.

I really do like to keep the cards in their plastic cases, and was wondering whether the (larger) CF "pocket rocket" would work for my SD cards *in* their cases, so thanks to awboater for confirming that it will.

Again, thanks everyone. CC is such a great resource!

  • 2 weeks later...

...I ordered the "Pixel Pocket Rockets" and have just gotten them. I got the CF size so I could store my SD cards in the plastic holders; they fit perfectly, as awboater said above.

Thanks again, this is just what I was looking for! (Absurdly expensive for what it is though.... :p)
