RMurp007 Posted July 24, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2012 We want to book on Voyages of Discovery as we enjoy smaller lines. It is going to be our first cruise to Norway and are debating between the 13 day Iconic Norwegian Fjords, which leaves August 18 and the Summer Solstice and White Sea 19 day cruise, which leaves June 16. We are worried about the late August weather on the one hand, and then the 7 full days at sea on the longer cruise in June. If anyone can help us decide, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Host Sharon Posted July 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Very few cruises go to the White Sea so personally I'd go for that, but it is all personal choice. I have been to Norway twice in August and had glorious weather.
dsrdsrdsr Posted July 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2012 I don't think August weather is any worse than June. As for sea days, being Discovery there'll no doubt be guest lecturers talking about the area. If you really can't stand sitting around for a few days with no pressing engagements and a book to read, maybe it's not for you. Can I go instead? :)
