We went in Feb 2010, through Carnival, they picked us on from the ship, and we went directly to the island.

The reef was not in good condition, and it was quite windy, great soft sand to the right of the pier, and it was a great day, Beautiful island.

Exactly what area did you snorkel? Did you swim out to the barrier reef out back or stay in the areas they take you? I would expect those areas to be damaged but I've read the outer areas are still pristine. We're still thinking of going with Coral Breeze. Trying to choose between that and Shark Alley/Caye Caulker. Also, without getting TMI is the vault toilet sanitary or nasty?
