Help me choose my ports.

I'm trying to decide which route I want to take out of Galveston in Jan.2013. Montego Bay, Jamaica -- Grand Caymans--- Cozumel OR Roatan, Honduras --- Belize City, Belize --- Cozumel. I would appreciate any input from more experienced cruisers, it will be a family vacation of 6 :p

My favorite is Grand Cayman :)... but then I do not care for Jamaica :( due the experiences I have had with the locals and their aggressiveness. Been to Cozumel waaay too many times now, but still enjoy it. Have not been to Belize or Roatan but really, really want to.

 

However, I feel you might want to research the ports yourself so you can make up your own mind.

[Galveston Cruiser]

Loved the Caymans - 30 years ago. Now too commercial, but the water is beautiful and the kids would love the turtle farm. Pretty beaches. Have to tender, no dock.

Jamaica is okay; love Roatan.

Belize: go to Ambergris Cay or the pyramids. Did not like the city, reminds me of Mexico. Ships tender also, no dock. Been to Cozumel a lot, love Chakanaab Park. Now we just take the ferry over to Playa del Carmen.
