No... it's not a joke. Mind you you made me doubt myself for a minute. However, having just checked with my daughter, she confirms that yes she's been stood with me and heard the same thing. She even gave a quick demo of how we were told to stand (LOL). This was Princess albeit a few years ago now.

 

Would have to go to the Martini Bar first and knock back more than one before 'strpping off' 14 decks off ! :eek: It makes me think of the drills you get on a plane when you think 'Landing on the sea .... no chance' !

Princess was still doing the hold-your-nose thing in March of this year. I'd also want flames nipping at my heals before I'd try it - it's a long way down off the Promenade deck.

 

Should be interesting for us to see how Celebrity runs their drill vs Princess and Royal.

Sorry if this sounds flippant, but they may as well say "Flap your arms and try to fly" for the use it would be from the top decks -- :confused::rolleyes:

I was on the Eclipse last week and thought their drill was very good and much improved.
