mdtcoll Posted August 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2012 I was told that I could not combine these 2 incentives. I booked during a WOW sale and received $100 OBC and later redeemed a C & A certificate. A Royal Caribbean reservation representative told me I needed to pick one or the other. Has this been others experience as well? Thanks.
Merion_Mom Posted August 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2012 This is clearly stated in the terms and conditions of the WOW sale.
OTownNick Posted August 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2012 Yes it's one or the other. Savings Certs. are not combinable with anything except the Onboard Booking Bonus.
honeybee85 Posted August 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2012 WOW Sales have very specific terms one of which is that you cannot use any other benefits with the obc.
Clarea Posted August 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2012 Also, be careful about changing the booking. WOW sale bookings cannot have the ship or sailing dates changed without losing the OBC.
mary_228 Posted August 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I always book through a travel agent who gives me OBC, which IS combinable with savings certificates. :)
Rare A&L_Ont Posted August 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2012 You also can't combine your shareholder benefit with OBC from booking a future sailing on board. Now that we have reached platinum and quickly emerald we will be ditching our RCI stock as soon as the price goes up, espically when you can't combine them. LovesCruising Posted August 12, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2012 I always book through a travel agent who gives me OBC, which IS combinable with savings certificates. :) Thats because the TA is taking the OBC credit "gift" they are giving you from their commission and has nothing to do with the cruiseline

I have also received spa and specialty dining gift certificates and wine all on the same sailing! Would the cruisline give that away out of their profits? And sometimes your TA will have a group rate that you can access for your sailing, along with some OBC then add the either WOW or C/A and it's all good!
