New Casino offer in mail today

Mine finally came yesterday and it's not impressive....$200 casino cash and 25% off their highest cabin rack rate (that was only $40pp off our Freedom cruise in March. In the past I've gotten up to $1250 casino cash and never as little as $200. Since we cruise 5 to 6 times a year on Carnival and I gamble more than ever, the new program sucks! After our cruises thru May I'll be seriously looking at NCL (they comp me at least an inside and sometimes even a balcony cabin plus everyone in the cabin receives a casino drink card whenever you book thru the casino, not just on the "premier" cruises)

Aren't PVP's awesome?

Yes, they are.

Our PVP phoned this morning. Found us a balcony on the Dream for October 20. We were already booked for October 27, so we will enjoy a 14 day cruise instead of seven days.

Still have not been able to find the offer when I sign in.

I received this offer also and was very surprised because this is the first time ever receiving one. One of the cruises leaves the same day we are leaving on the Valor. I wish I could take advantage of it, hopefully this won't be the last.

Forgot to ask....the card says UP TO 25% off, how do they determine the discount?

I have been waiting for over 2 years to get one of these promotions...I was JUMPING FOR JOY when I opened my little RED Evenlope until......I saw the dates. I thought it would have been for 2013 and not just a few weeks away...DANG IT:mad:

I have one already booked for January 2013 and just got off of one in March;).

Arrrgggg, it is totally random to receive these, as I am a bit of a gambler and have never ever received one before..

Hoping that they keep coming:D

Call them back and ask if they have any other dates available. We did this when we got the offer back in March or April, and they gave us one that was not listed on the card

The problem is that you wouldn't be part of the casino "premier" cruise with all the associated benefits. I got the discount for March but it was only $40pp savings....

It's 25% off the very highest fare (fun saver?) so it's not much savings over what you'd pay with other discounts like senior, past guest, etc. As I posted before it only saved us $40pp on our March cruise.

For those of you who have booked the casino premier cruises in the past, would you provide some input for me? This is my first booking under this offer.

The flyer I received said i would receive a package in the mail. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive this package and what it contains?

Also, should my booking (documents, etc) reflect anything special. My documents are the same as always.

Thanks.

You'll receive it only a week or two before sailing.

When I went on the Casino VIP cruise last August, mine didn't arrive until after we were already on the ship. The package contained some info about events, and ours included metal luggage tag holders.

And my offers have dried up. Did not get the last mailing and didn't get this one.

Though I am booked on the Dream for October 27th with the casino rate (saved $160 over my early saver rate) and casino cash.

I have no idea how they are sending offers but I'm tempting to just cut my losses and try to stay away from the casino this next cruise.

Really, if I didn't gamble, I could probably almost afford a second cruise.

Thank you for your input. Our PVP assured us he used the correct code, but just antsy about the details!

I note you are on the Dream sailing for October 27. We will be on that cruise, also. Booked B2B with the casino offer.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that my package was late because I am in Canada. It was sent at the same time as everyone else's (who received their package).

When you check in and get your S&S card, the drinks on us card should already be attached.

If I received the casino offer, I would be very tempted to book the October 20th cruise as a B2B as well but so far, no luck.
When you get this offer - is your spouse/travel companion able to receive the same perks as you - ie: free drinks in casino and invites to activities?
It's Plus 1 so for most things, yes (free drinks, cocktail party) but not so for things like the slot tournament we had and some of the drawings for prizes.

When you play in the casino with your card in the machine Carnival keeps track of your play and if you put enough thru the machines you'll get offers. I spend hours in there every day so I've been getting these offers for several years

When you set up your acct the first time you put your card in the slot machine you're good to go with Carnival's player's club (casinos at sea is NCL's casino club)
