I would think that if all transactions were completed before final payment you should get the difference put back on your credit card. Things done after final payment are more likely to show as OBC.

Before final payment should credit to your credit card. I wouldn't try after final payment as you might have some issues.

I recently saw a price drop on a cruise that I had already paid for but was before final payment.

I called my TA who handles all my bookings and he contacted Princess, first he was told that they would not refund as I had paid in full, but he pushed the point that it was before final payment and after going up the ladder organised a refund for me.

I did downgrade to the lower obOV and the reservationist said it would be credited back to my card. That's fine although was kind of just hoping they would hold it as OBC. Always nice to know that there's $ waiting on board.
