Onessa Posted August 31, 2012 #26 Share Posted August 31, 2012 Every time we've checked, the cruise line transfer costs are exorbitant compared to every alternative imaginable short of a stretch limo for each pair of travelers. Just off RCCI. RCCI had a transfer from ship to airport or central station for $37 US pp (that was just the post-cruise transfer). Three of us and our luggage fit a standard cab from pier to the door of our hotel in Osterstad (near airport) for equivelant of $42 Total (including small tip). We had chosen self-debark -- walked off the ship at 9:45. Followed a sign with 3 foot tall letters (TAXI) to a rope line area. Two groups in front of us the the 3 or fewer line. DH barely had time to pull out the hotel info out before it was our turn. RCCI had a four-hour city tour with drop-off at the airport or central station at $40.00 each. So the $37.00 really looks ridiculous
bflowngs Posted September 1, 2012 #27 Share Posted September 1, 2012 I can highly recommend first hotel 27 in cph......clean comfortable rooms in a convenient location. Taxi to hotel was 350dkk...about $60 for 4 people, but that was with traffic.....going back to airport was around 250 as there was no traffic. Cab to port from hotel was 240....again when you split it among 3 people ...not bad. They do have larger cabs to accommodate luggage and drivers are very adept at fitting it all in!!!! hylasgirl Posted September 4, 2012 #28 Share Posted September 4, 2012 You can get a triple/quad on Hotwire. Not on Priceline. So, there is an option of getting a nice deal on Hotwire for your group.
Barbrox Posted January 9, 2014 #29 Share Posted January 9, 2014 We are booked into the Clarion Hotel Mayfair, but our plane arrives at 7:15 AM and check in is 2PM. I was also looking for a tour that would pick us up at the airport(with luggage..there are 4 of us)show us some not too exhausting sights and deliver us to the hotel around check in time. We did this in Barcelona last year with a lovely tour to Monserrat. Have not found anything similar in Copenhagen.
Rare LHT28 Posted January 9, 2014 #30 Share Posted January 9, 2014 We are booked into the Clarion Hotel Mayfair, but our plane arrives at 7:15 AM and check in is 2PM. Just go to the hotel either by taxi or take the train to central station & walk over They will store your bags for you You may get lucky & they might have a room ready Then just head out for a walk around or get the HOHO bus if you are too tired to walk around
