Come welcome the Disney Magic to Galveston!

For anyone joining us for sailaway, all the authorities insist that the Magic will be in closer to 7 than 5, so we're meeting at the Denny's at Seawall & 14th at 5am. After ingesting sufficient amounts of caffeine, we will head to the pier at about 6:15. :)

I wouldn't do that!!! Ships usually always arrive a couple of hours early on their first day in port. 7am will be the time she arrives most other mornings. Marine Traffic is still showing her ETA at 5:20am. Hope I'm wrong and you don't miss her arrival, but arriving at 6:15 is a bad time to show up for a ship's very first arrival into port. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

For those wanting to watch Disney Magic's arrival on webcam, since the Harbor Cam is down, y'all can try this link: http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/livenow?id=7292434

It isn't pointed towards the harbor right now, but I'm planning to call ABC13 in the morning and see if they can follow the Magic with their webcam.

well, its 506 am on saturday and the tracker shows her sitting at 0 knots, apparently waiting to make a grand entrance, as she should

Looks like you may be right and I was wrong last night (Which is a good thing!). I agree, the later she arrives, the better. Haven't seen her on the Cavalla cams yet.

just a thought. but what is galveston gonna do when princess, carnival triumph and disney all arrive on sat?

Not sure right now. We're thinking they're going to build a new terminal, but it only a guess/rumor right now. We don't have to worry about this upcoming season, though. The Disney Magic will be in port on Friday on weekends that the Triumph and Crown Princess are both in on Saturday. She'll start alternating between a 6/8 night schedule in December.

We will contribute what we can

Wow good for you is that something they offered the locals as it looks like Galveston cruiser is going as well, Or is there a military connection?

We will be at Olympia for sailaway in the west corner table hopefully.

Taking a break from all the activity! Any idea what time she will leave?

We will meet you at Olympia.
