AK*Angel Posted May 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2005 City Museum, Rent a car and drive out to the Shrine of St. Therese and continue on to the end of the road you could also cross over to Douglas Island and drive up to Eaglecrest Ski Area, very beautiful, the brewery is neat if you are into beer, fishing charter. Hope these help!

jstducky Posted May 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2005 Go up the Mount Roberts Tram and following the hiking trail Dogsledding is also another option
tkt2cruz Posted May 17, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2005 I ALWAYS go on a whale watching excursion with Captain Larry. He is the best. You can find him at http://www.orcaenterprises.com Also, try going to Glacier Gardens, it is well worth it....right before Mendenhall Glacier. Host Caroline Posted May 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 18, 2005 Definitely whale watching or a helicopter flight or glacier trek! I wouldn't rent a car in Juneau just because there is so much you can do in Juneau and it's a bit more hassle than I like but if you have a long enough port call...or ditto the Mt Roberts tram with all the trails up there..work up an appetite and then head out to Thane Or salmon bake... vbacht Posted May 18, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2005 Yes I also agree with whale watching or the Tram, but the hilight for us was having a beer at the Red dog saloon a must do!!!!
