Calico Jacks or Royal Palms?

We have decided to hang at the beach and are looking for a "home base". I am confused about Calico Jacks... Is this a place to walk to from the public beach or can we just set up shop there and come and go?

 

We like to be very well taken care of on vacation....

 

We are travelling with kids (VERY well traveled and behaved ;) and aren't interested in just the food truck option.

It's an open air restaurant/bar right on the beach. (Beaches are quite narrow, so nothing is too far!)...there are chair/umbrella/watersport rentals there, too. And, restrooms!

 

You can do what you want, when you want....everything is right there, including a bus stop for heading back to the ship!
